In the case of materials which come into contact with the human body for treatment, diagnosis, or prosthesis purposes, it is of the utmost importance to ensure that all points of contact do not cause irritation, changes in blood composition or toxicity. The evaluation of materials biocompatibility is an indispensable control of the products that are widely used in medical practice. This assessment is performed prior to clinical trials \u2013 as part of the overall safety characterization of a device or material.<br \/>\nWith adequate infrastructure and high-performance equipment, the laboratory for \u201cin vitro\u201d testing of bionanomaterials ensures the evaluation of materials and medical devices for &#8220;in vitro&#8221; cytotoxicity. The laboratory has a space dedicated to cell cultures with a clean room design, which ensures the separation and control of staff and material specific
